Trouble with Sleep? Need to Calm Your Nerves?

Trouble with Sleep? Need to Calm Your Nerves?
September 23, 2017AdminAnxiety/DepressionHealthy LivingStress Management

We have all experienced it at one time or another – you’re lying in bed, wide-awake, and your mind is reeling. Before you know it, it’s 3 AM and you must be up in sooner rather than later. While an occasional sleepless night is a part of adult life, chronic insomnia can quickly become detrimental to your physical and emotional well-being.

Recent estimates suggest that over 30 % of the adult population suffers from recurring bouts of insomnia. Often, this is caused by an excess of stress and anxiety. This has been deemed a public health problem as the percentage of people who are experiencing insomnia on a regular basis increases every year.

Prescription sleep aids consist of hypnotics and tranquilizers, which can have a plethora of unpleasant side effects and some are highly addictive. Most over the counter sleep aids contain diphenhydramine, the active ingredient in Benadryl, which is indicated for short term use only as long term use has been linked to an increased risk of dementia. Melatonin supplements have become popular in recent years, but often leave a person feeling groggy the morning after.

Suan Zao Ren Tang is an herbal supplement that you might not have heard much about, yet it may offer extraordinarily benefits as a natural remedy for insomnia and overactive nerves. It consists of a blend of herbs including jujube seed, which comes from the jujube fruit, a member of the date family.

Chinese Medicine has used this formula for centuries to deliver relief from many of the ailments rooted in excessive stress and subsequent anxiety. When the recommended dose is adhered to regularly, sufferers tend to see improvements in their sleep quality in relatively short periods of time.

It is important to note that results vary from person to person. Combining the supplement with regular exercise and a well-balanced diet may increase its effectiveness.

We recommend discussing any supplements with your physician and other health care providers before you begin taking.

You can find a quality Suan Zao Ren Tang formula at our clinic. If you are experience chronic insomnia or anxiety, we invite you to come in for a free consultation.
