What Do We Offer?

Taking An Individual Approach

We tailor a treatment plan specifically for YOU...

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views each person as unique, the number and frequency of treatments may vary. Among the determining factors are the type of condition, whether it is chronic or acute and the general state of health of the individual patient.

A typical treatment protocol for chronic problems or severe pain is 2 treatments a week for 6 to 10 visits. After this, treatments may be gradually reduced to once a week or every two weeks until only monthly maintenance is necessary.

Based on the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture aims to increase circulation throughout the body to promote better health and well-being by restoring and maintaining internal balance. This is accomplished by stimulating specific point (known as acupoints) that are tied to specific organ systems.

Following a thorough exam and evaluation of your medical history, we can begin to determine which organ systems are out of balance based on symptomatic patterns that surface during our evaluation. This helps us to tailor a unique treatment plan for you by guiding our focus towards the points within your body that target the organ systems that are at the root of your health concerns.

Herbal Medicines

Herbal medicine focuses on helping to restore, and promote, a healthy balance within your body.

There are literally thousands of formulas that have been passed down from ancient times that work separately, or with other formulas, to facilitate harmony within the organ systems of your body to achieve greater vitality and a sense of well-being.

Depending on the information that is revealed during your exam and medical history evaluation, specific herbal formulas may be introduced into your treatment plan to help supplement the healing process that has been initiated by your acupuncture treatments.

Cupping Therapy

Highly effective for ache and pains, cupping therapy aims to improving overall circulation throughout the body by loosening the muscles and joints. This decrease inflammation, which is often the cause of pain, and may also facilitate the elimination of toxins and other harmful substances from within the body.

Application involves placing the cups on the body and then heating them to create a vacuum inside of each cup. The resulting suction pulls the blood of the patient to targeted areas of the body.

“I just want to thank Dr. Joa for her care. I have been in pain since the first of September due to a side effect to a Statin drug. Joa gave me a cupping procedure and tonight I am pain free. I was moving to a hopeless place with the pain and right now I am headed to bed with no pain meds. Bless you Joa Crowder and thank you Selena for all you hard work too.”
